Scott Baio is 45 ... and surprisingly candid

Today's Washington Times features my interview with Scott Baio, star of the new VH1 series "Scott Baio is 45 ... and Single." I'm no fan of reality television, but I found this show a cut above the usual dreck. Give it a chance. Or, better yet, read for yourself.

Oh, I'd rather take a butt-kicking than watch a full episode of Scott Baio ... esp. where he reveals to the world that his first Biblical "knowing" was with Erin Moran ... and then she comes on the show to talk about it ... Ick. Spare me ...

Bring back Danny Bonnaduci!

The creation of lower-tier platforms that simultaneously inject extended fifteen-minute periods to past celebrity careers and feed an apparently endless appetite for media coverage thereof deserves its own WWTW analysis, IMO.

I, too, enjoyed the idea of Bonaduce as a link to Baby Boomers' ever-more tenuous grasp on their media youth; I suspect that this Baio vehicle is to attempt the same for GenXers....
