In character

The New York Post's terrific film critic Kyle Smith is reporting on his blog that two of "Reno 911!'s" finest are picketing along with their fellow writers -- but in character.
The news brought back memories of interviewing the show's Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant and Niecy Nash a few months back as part of their "Reno: 911! Miami" film push. They were in full costume and character, and their press handlers didn't feed me any staged questions or set-ups. No, they shot from the hip for a hilarious half hour of warped Q&A. I came away extremely impressed by their comic chops. Even the brilliant Sacha Baron Cohen recycled the same punch lines when he did his "Borat" press tour two years ago. (Photo: Lennon as Lt.
