Let's put on a pro-torture show

Some of the pre-movie chatter heard at a Denver screening of "Lions for Lambs" last night proved more illuminating than the movie. Two adult men were talking about the liberal bent of recent Hollywood films and how movies like "Rendition" weren't changing any hearts and minds out there. Both men seemed to lean left, but they expressed frustration that more points of view aren't seen at the movies these days. One fellow said to the other, and I'm not paraphrasing,"I wanna see a pro-torture movie" -- meaning he wouldn't mind a film which discussed why the US government resorts to tough interrogation tactics. Convince me, he said. (I'll post my "Lions for Lambs" review tomorrow evening).
