Better very late than never
Can't be a critic without compiling a "best of" list, right?
Here's mine for 2007. Fire away if you disagree.
1. “Once”
2. “No Country for Old Men”
3. “Breach”
4. “The Kingdom”
5. “Knocked Up”
6. "The King of Kong"
7. “3:10 to Yuma”
8. “I Am Legend”
9. “Juno”
10. “Away From Her”
Honorable mentions: "The Host," "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" and "Waitress"
And now for a few random but deserving award categories:
C'mon, It Wasn't That Bad - "Evan Almighty" - Fellow critics pounced on this like another "Britney leaves rehab" scoop.
Better Left Unsaid - "Hannibal Rising," "Halloween" - We don't need to know why a monster becomes a monster.
Best Waste of a Great Cast - "Fred Claus" - Kevin Spacey, Rachel Weisz, Kathy Bates, Paul Giamatti and Vince Vaughn all labor to make a mediocre yuletide flick.

Ouch, 3:10 and Legend were in the top 10? Says plenty about the movies this year. Both were pretty good .... but.
... Can't wait for Cloverfield, it better be darn good after this viral marketing has gotten me whipped into a frenzy.
Remember another viral marketing success story named "Snakes on a Plane?" Keep them expectations low.
This is a great list, nice to see Once at the top! Enjoy your blog, Happy New Year!
still pissed Superbad isn't here ...
What wasn't all that bad about Evan Almighty? I can't remember a single positive thing about it!
