Free 'Jackass'

It's only fitting that the next wave in movie distribution involve men who delight in beating each other, and themselves, silly.
"Jackass 2.5" is coming, for free, to a computer near you Dec. 19. The sequel to the prankster franchise will be available for two weeks at blockbuster.jackassworld.com. Then, the movie shifts to various pay-per-view platforms, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Never knew such a brain-dead franchise could be so smart. The films' demographic skews young, and they're the perfect crowd for downloading material. The sequel could have earned more coin via traditional delivery methods - i.e. your local theater. But there's something bigger at work here, and it will be fascinating to see it play out.
For me, I didn't buy a big screen TV so I could watch movies on my 15.4-inch computer screen.

That's why there's Slingbox (www.slingmedia.com) ... download something to your computer, then sling it to any platform you like: your TV in another room, your iPhone in another part of town, or your laptop in another country. Pretty cool.

But Jackass is a little high-brow for me. Any sign that Bumfights is coming to free download??
