SRO

Don't think an actor's name above the title can fill seats these days? You're right, unless the name in question is Will Smith.
Caught a preview screening of "I Am Legend" last night in Denver, and the line of fans waiting to see Smith's latest was the longest I've seen in many a moon. A screening in D.C. last night was similarly mobbed.
I'll post my review on Friday, but it's clear that Smith cuts across demographic divides like no one else making movies today.
It helps that he's a dynamite actor who treats genre pictures with the same respect as Oscar-bait dramas. (Photo: Will Smith plays the last man on earth in "I Am Legend")

I think your short-changing his co-star, the dog.

Let's give the dog a best supporting creature Oscar and be done with it.
To be fair, the dog did act circles around Wilson the Volleyball from "Cast Away."
