The best poly-sci class you never took

Who says war movies have to be dull, preachy affairs? Not Aaron Sorkin, the scribe behind last year's "Charlie Wilson's War."

My appreciation for the film, starring Tom Hanks as a randy Congressman who helped fund the Afghan rebels against the Soviet invaders during the 1980s, swelled after seeing the film again on DVD.

Check out my review over at PopMatters and let me know if you think the movie balanced politics and entertainment as skillfully as I think it did.
