The great, and I don’t use that term loosely, Morgan Freeman got into a car accident last night.
He’s in serious condition, but as of now not much more information is available. Freeman remains an indispensable actor, someone whose gravitas and grace make every movie better. He still works at a furious clip, so hopefully he’ll be able to mend and get back on his next movie set, stat. There’s simply no one else like him.
UPDATE: Sounds like he’s pretty banged up, but he should pull through.
Update: He’s going home.

I’d like to second that thought, and wish Bernie Mac a full, speedy recovery too…
