Because the brain behind “Airplane!” and “The Naked Gun” has him in his sights.
Check out this must-read story from The Politico’s Jeffrey Ressner (hat tip: Dirty Harry’s Place)
Director David Zucker, a self-described Sept. 11 Republican, has created a new spin on “A Christmas Carol,” but this time the story has a pro-American, anti-Michael Moore bent.
Cannot wait.
My concern regards the finished product. Will Zucker’s own ideological bent blind him to the funny, or will he use the wealth of untapped material, stuff other “brave” comedians rarely touch, to make a comedy for the ages?

For what it’s worth I have seen segments of this movie & they were all gut-busting or jaw-droppingly funny. What’s more, regular folks in fly-over country will gravitate to a comedy like this — it’s hugely irreverent but not mean-spirited or insulting (at least not to said fly-over folk).

Thanks for the info, Kitdafos. Please let me know if you can share any more about it while keeping the film’s integrity intact.
“Irreverent but not mean spirited” - that is walking the tightrope, to be sure.

re: “irreverent but not mean-spirited” — Well, again, I only saw a few scenes…but (1) Farley/Moore was not blown up a la TEAM AMERICA, and (2) even the Islamic terrorists were treated not as purveyors of evil so much than as dolts continuously undone by the confusion of all having the same name (Mohammud Hussein)…
